Dean Allemang is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at ServiceNow and the author of Semantic Web for the Working Ontologist, one of the standard references in the knowledge graph field. Before joining ServiceNow in 2025, he spent his career helping enterprises figure out what their data actually means and how to make that meaning something a machine can use — work that's suddenly at the center of every conversation about AI. He was recently a lecturer at the ISC 2026 Summer School on Knowledge, Reasoning & Decision-Making at the University of Quebec at Montreal, and shares the same ideas with a particular application to bulding responsibly with AI at ServiceNow.
